Local causes

A very important part of our role as your Community Store is to be able to provide financial support to local organisations and good causes by making donations from any surplus we make.


In the last year we have been able to support the following charities and local groups.

  • Smarden Gardeners' Society
  • Smarden Primary School
  • Friends of Smarden Church
  • Smarden Junior Football
  • Pilgrims Hospice
  • Dogs Trust
  • Woodland Warriers
  • Porchlight
  • Ashford Food Bank
  • Playground Fund

In the last two years over £10,000 has been donated to more than 20 charities & village groups.
